While travelling home tonight after checking the wolf sets on one of the downstream islands, I came across this sight and stopped to snap a pic. Back in PA you could always spot the 'browse line' where deer clipped off every branch up to a certain height in their winter 'yard' areas or high population areas. This is a top-down "browse line" - this time, started by moose. You get a good idea of the height off the ground their heads are when you notice the line of snapped off willows they munched on...
